Customer Success is primarily an on-demand agent. It responds when you ask and posts alerts when a client crosses a threshold. It does not send scheduled digests or periodic reports unless you request them.

On-Demand (Any Time)

You can ask for a churn risk report, quiet client list, or book of business overview at any point during the day. The agent reads the latest signal data when you ask and posts the result immediately.

There is no queue or delay: results appear within a few seconds of your request.

Threshold-Triggered Alerts

Customer Success monitors client signal data continuously. When a client's last contact crosses the quiet threshold (10 days) or the churn-risk threshold (14 days), the agent sends an alert to the owning account manager's direct messages and to its Slack channel.

These alerts are sent as each threshold is crossed, not batched into a daily report.

Expansion and Sentiment Signals

When new messages arrive from a client, Customer Success classifies them for expansion signals and sentiment. If a message contains a meaningful signal in either direction, an alert is posted immediately.

Classification happens as messages come in. There is no delay between a message arriving and the signal being evaluated.

What Is Not Yet Automated

Customer Success does not currently send:

  • Weekly or monthly health summaries
  • Renewal forecasting reports
  • Onboarding milestone tracking
  • Quarterly Business Review preparation packets

These are planned capabilities. For now, use on-demand requests to get health snapshots at the cadence that works for your team.

A useful habit: ask for the book of business overview at the start of each week to catch any quiet clients before they drift further. It takes one request and gives you a complete picture.
