Commands
The main way to ask Knowledge Base anything is the Knowledge page in the app: type a question in the chat box, read the answer, and check the sources listed underneath. You can also ask from Slack when you are already there. Both are covered below.
Ask a Question in the App
Open the Knowledge page and type your question the way you would ask a colleague. You do not need special phrasing or keywords. Press Enter to send and Shift+Enter to start a new line.
How do I build a multi-step nurture sequence for B2B SaaS prospects?
You get a written answer drawn from your connected knowledge, with the sources it used listed beneath it. Where a source has a link, open it to read the original material. In Slack, sources are shown as titles, up to five.
Ask About Your Proof Points
What are our strongest proof points for paid social campaigns?
It pulls from your library of vetted proof points and gives you the ones that fit, each tied back to its source so you can use them with confidence.
Ask About Your Own Approach
How should we segment a list for a re-engagement campaign?
What does our content library say about brand voice?
These pull from your agency's own briefs, guidelines, and content, so the answer reflects how you actually work rather than generic advice.
Ask a Follow-Up
The Knowledge page keeps the conversation in context, so you can build on a previous answer without repeating yourself.
Now narrow that to clients in financial services.
It answers the follow-up against the thread you have going. When you want to start fresh on a new topic, use the Clear Conversation control to reset the context.
Ask for a Count or a List
You can ask for exact figures and groupings, not just prose, where your agency has that data as a table you are allowed to see.
How many proof points do we have by category?
List our top five clients by number of approved testimonials.
When a matching table is available to you, it returns the exact counts or lists from it. Otherwise you get a normal written answer with its sources. Phrasings like "how many", "top five", "list all", "group by" and "by category" ask for exact figures; a plain "list" or "list by" does not.
Ask from Slack
When you are already in Slack, you can ask a quick question without switching to the app.
/knowledge what does our brand brief say about tone for the SaaS client?
The answer comes back privately to you, not to the whole channel. You can also send the knowledge command on its own to open a small box where you type your question; that answer comes back to you as a direct message. Mentioning the agent with an @ in a channel does not reach Knowledge Base; the knowledge command shown above is the way to ask from Slack. The app remains the better place for anything where you want follow-up questions or to read the sources in full.
A Note on What You Get Back
Every answer lists its sources. If your connected knowledge does not cover the question, Knowledge Base tells you plainly rather than guessing. There are no approval buttons here: it answers, and that is all. Nothing you ask causes anything to be sent or changed.
