Notifications

Marketing Podcast posts to Slack only when a Slack channel is set up for it, and it posts one thing: the show notes card. The plan, transcript, and clips appear in the app as you run each stage.

Show Notes Card

When: Show notes have been written for an episode. Nothing is posted if the show notes could not be completed.

What it contains:

• The episode topic and brand
• The state of the plan, the transcript, and the notes
• The brand check result, if one has run
• The summary, cut to fit the card
• Up to six chapter markers
• The social captions
• Buttons: Approve, Publish, Reject, and a more menu with Edit notes and Regenerate notes

Action required: Read the notes and approve, edit, or reject. Publish becomes useful once the episode is approved.

Card Status Update

When: You approve, publish, reject, or edit the notes from the card.

What it contains: The refreshed card. While the episode is a draft, in review, or approved, the buttons stay. After it is published or rejected, or when a check blocked it, the buttons are replaced by a one-line status. A published status includes the episode address. A blocked status names the check.

Action required: None for published or rejected. For a blocked episode, edit the notes and approve again, or ask an administrator.

Private Replies to Your Clicks

When: A button cannot do what you asked, or regenerating fails.

What it contains: A message only you can see, such as that the episode was not found, that approving is not possible before show notes exist, or that regenerating failed with a reason.

Action required: Follow the message.
