Frequently Asked Questions

What Audio Formats Does It Accept?

Marketing Podcast accepts common audio formats including MP3, WAV, M4A, and FLAC. Video files (MP4, MOV) are also supported; the agent extracts the audio track automatically.

Can I Submit a Transcript Instead of an Audio File?

Yes. Paste the transcript directly into your Slack message with the request. The agent skips transcription and goes straight to show notes and clip suggestions. Speaker labels in the transcript improve the quality of quote attribution.

Does It Handle Multi-Speaker Recordings?

Yes. The transcription step identifies and labels different speakers. All downstream content (show notes, quotes, clip suggestions) uses those labels for accurate attribution. Two-person interviews work well; panel recordings with four or more speakers may have less precise attribution.

How Long Can an Episode Be?

There is no hard limit. Longer episodes take more time to process. A 30-minute episode typically completes in under 15 minutes; a 60-minute episode may take 20 to 30 minutes. The agent posts a transcription-complete update when that step finishes so you know processing is still active.

Can I Use It for Multiple Clients?

Yes. Include the client name or brand context in your request so the agent applies the correct brand voice to the episode plan and show notes. Each request is handled independently.

Can I Ask It to Regenerate a Section?

Yes. Use the Edit button on any approval card to request a specific revision, or post a follow-up in the thread describing what you want changed. For example: "Make the summary more direct" or "The chapter markers are missing the 10-minute segment on attribution, please add it."

Common Issues

The Show Notes Summary Does Not Capture the Main Topic

  1. Check whether the topic was discussed at the start, middle, or end of the episode. The agent works from the full transcript, but a topic covered only briefly may not receive heavy weight.
  2. Post a follow-up in the thread: "The key insight is [topic]. Please revise the summary to lead with that." The agent will regenerate with that focus.
  3. If you are submitting a transcript rather than audio, confirm that the relevant section of the conversation is included in the text you pasted.

The Clip Suggestions Do Not Fit the Brand or Audience

  1. Include the intended audience in your original request. A clip that works for a general audience may not be the right choice for a specialist one.
  2. Use the Edit button to specify what kind of moments you want: "Prioritize moments with named numbers or contrarian takes" or "Skip the section on [topic], focus on [other section]."
  3. Check whether the transcript captures tone accurately. Flat transcription (no punctuation, run-on sentences) can make lively conversations look dry.

The Agent Did Not Respond to the Request

  1. Confirm you mentioned the agent in the message. Requests without an @mention are not picked up.
  2. Check whether you are posting in the correct channel for Marketing Podcast.
  3. If the message included a file attachment, confirm the file uploaded successfully before the agent could see it.
  4. Wait two to three minutes. Audio processing starts within seconds of your request but the first visible update may take a moment to appear.

The Transcript Has Errors or Missed a Speaker

  1. For short corrections, you can paste a corrected version of the relevant section in the thread and ask for revised show notes: "Here is a corrected version of the 10 to 15 minute segment [paste text]. Please regenerate the chapter markers and quotes using this."
  2. Heavy background noise, overlapping speech, or very low recording levels reduce transcription accuracy. A cleaner source file will produce a better result.
  3. Technical jargon and product names are common sources of transcription error. Review the transcript for those terms before approving downstream content.

The Episode Plan Does Not Match the Client's Voice

  1. Include a brief brand note in your request: "This client is formal and data-driven" or "Keep the tone conversational, this is a practitioner-focused show."
  2. Use the Edit button and describe the voice adjustment you need.
  3. If the client's brand profile has changed recently, contact support at support@agenteous.com to confirm the brand context is current.
