Commands

You can work with Marketing Designer two ways: ask it in its design channel in Slack, or start and manage generations yourself in the Marketing Workspace. The Slack phrasing is below; the same actions are available as forms and buttons in the workspace, which is also where you review and attach.

Generate a Featured Image for a Blog Post

@Agenteous generate a featured image for post [post title or ID]

The agent loads the post's image prompt from Marketing Content, refines it against the brand's visual register, generates the image, and posts the result with the refined brief, the asset, the alt text, and two alternative prompts. Reply with "attach" to link the image to the post.

Generate an Image from Your Own Prompt

@Agenteous create a social image for [client brand]: [describe the scene]

Describe the scene in plain terms. The agent refines your description into a full brief that names the scene, composition, mood, palette, and style, then generates the asset. You get the primary image plus two alternative prompts.

Start a Generation in the Workspace

You do not have to use Slack. Open the Marketing Workspace, go to Marketing Designer, and choose to start a new generation. There are two modes:

  • Standard image: describe the image you want, pick the brand and the dimensions, and generate. This is the same as the Slack request above, as a form.
  • Featured image: give the post title or headline and pick a template, and the agent builds the artwork around your brand logo and colors. See below.

The result drops into your generations feed, where you can open it, review it, and attach it.

When you start a featured image in the workspace, you can pick a ready-made layout instead of describing a scene:

  • Minimal / Clean: a light background with your logo and a centered headline.
  • Bold Gradient: a diagonal brand-color gradient with a large left-aligned headline.
  • Split Layout: a two-panel layout, your logo and headline on the colored side.
  • Dark Card: a near-black card with a brand-color accent and white text.
  • Photo Overlay: your text over an AI-generated background in your brand colors.

Leave the template on the brand default to use whatever your brand is set to, or pick one to override it for this image.

Request a Specific Size

@Agenteous generate a LinkedIn card for [client brand]: [scene description]

You can name the destination platform or the dimensions you need. The agent picks the matching composition rule (for example, rule of thirds for a 1200x627 share card) and cites it in the brief note.

Supported sizes include blog featured images (1200x628), LinkedIn and Twitter share cards (1200x627), Instagram squares (1080x1080), Instagram stories (1080x1920), Pinterest pins (1200x1500), and newsletter headers (1280x360).

Re-Generate with an Alternative Prompt

@Agenteous re-generate with the second alternative

Each generation includes two saved alternative prompts. Ask the agent to use either one and it generates a fresh version. All generations are saved, so nothing is lost.

Ask a Design Question

@Agenteous what composition works best for a newsletter header?

The agent answers design questions in the design channel: composition advice, platform sizing, alt text guidance, and brand-fit considerations. No generation is triggered; it is a conversational response.

See Recent Generations

@Agenteous show my recent generations

The agent lists the most recent images produced, with the brand, the brief summary, and the status of each. The full history lives in the Marketing Workspace feed, where you can filter by all, awaiting attach, or attached.

Attach a Generation to a Content Post

@Agenteous attach generation [ID] to post [ID]

Or reply "attach" under the generation message. You can also open the generation in the Marketing Workspace and attach it to a content post from there. Either way the agent links the asset to the matching post in Marketing Content. This step is always something you trigger; it never happens on its own.

Approval Buttons

When Marketing Designer posts a generation result, it includes action buttons:

  • Attach to post: links the displayed generation to the content post it was created for (only available when the request came from a content handoff).
  • Re-generate with alt 1 / Re-generate with alt 2: triggers a new generation using one of the two saved alternative prompts.
  • Save only: confirms you have seen the result and want to keep it without attaching it yet.
