Marketing Video posts to Slack only when a Slack channel is set up for it, and only one kind of message: the project card. Everything else happens in the app, which shows each step's status as you go.

Script Ready Card

When: A new project's script has been written. A project whose script could not be written gets no card.

What it contains:

• The topic, brand, and project status
• The hook, the voice-over, and the call to action
• The shots, if the storyboard has been planned
• Buttons: Approve, Publish, Reject, and a more menu with Edit script and Regenerate storyboard

Action required: Read the script. Approve it, edit it, or reject the project. Edit script saves the new text, keeps your shots, and marks the storyboard Outdated. Regenerate storyboard asks you to confirm, saying how many shots, stills, and clips it will discard, and then rebuilds the shot list. Nothing is rendered, assembled, or published by the card.

Card Status Update

When: You approve, publish, or reject the project, or edit the script or storyboard from the card.

What it contains: The refreshed card. While the project is a draft, in review, or approved, the buttons stay. After it is published, rejected, or blocked, the buttons are replaced by a one-line status. A blocked status names the check that held the project.

Action required: None for published or rejected. For a blocked project, edit the script and submit it for review again from the project page, or ask an administrator.

Private Replies to Your Clicks

When: A button cannot do what you asked, or a regeneration fails.

What it contains: A message only you can see, such as that the project was not found, that approving is not possible before the script is written, or that regenerating failed with a reason.
