Troubleshooting
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Agent Produce the Actual Video File?
No. Marketing Video writes the script and storyboard, and coordinates still images with Marketing Designer. The output is a production-ready package: a script with timing, shot-by-shot visual briefs, and motion direction. Your team or a video production tool uses that package to produce the final file.
How Is the Script Paced to Time?
The agent targets 2.5 to 3 spoken words per second. A 30-second script has approximately 75 to 90 words of voice-over. The hook and CTA are on top of that count, so the total script word count is slightly higher. If you need to adjust pace, note it in your brief (for example: "leave room for pauses" or "fast-paced delivery").
Can I Get a Script Without a Storyboard?
Yes. Ask for a script only and the agent stops after the script approval. You can request the storyboard in a follow-up once the script is locked.
What Aspect Ratios Are Supported?
The agent produces storyboards for landscape (16:9), vertical (9:16), and square (1:1). Specify the ratio in your request. If you do not specify, the agent defaults to 16:9 and notes the assumption.
Can I Request a Series of Videos at Once?
Yes. Describe the series in one message and specify how many pieces you need. The agent produces separate scripts and storyboards for each, grouped into a single approval card. For longer series (more than five pieces), consider sending two batches so each approval card stays manageable.
What Happens If the Client's Brand Guidelines Are Not in the System?
The agent flags this in its response and asks you to provide a voice brief or key brand direction in the thread. It continues once you reply. For recurring clients, ask your account team to ensure brand guidelines are loaded before the next campaign.
Common Issues
The Script Tone Does Not Match the Client's Brand
- Check that the brief included the client's name as recognized in the system. If the agent cannot identify the client, it falls back to neutral defaults.
- Reply in the thread with a short voice note (two to three sentences describing the tone) and ask for a revision.
- For recurring mismatches on the same client, flag this to your account manager so the brand playbook can be reviewed.
The Hook Lands Too Late or the CTA Is Buried
- Reply in the thread: "The hook needs to land in the first two seconds, tighten it." The agent can revise the opening without changing the rest.
- If the CTA feels buried in the body copy, ask for it to be pulled to a standalone line at the end.
- For very short formats (15 seconds or under), tell the agent the duration constraint upfront: it changes how much can appear before the CTA.
The Storyboard Has Too Many Shots for the Duration
- Each shot is either 5 or 10 seconds. A 30-second video can hold a maximum of six 5-second shots or three 10-second shots.
- If the storyboard feels crowded, reply: "Reduce to four shots, redistribute the voice-over." The agent rebuilds the breakdown.
- For very short videos (15 seconds), specify a maximum shot count in your original request to avoid a revision round.
The Agent Asked for More Information Before Starting
The agent cannot proceed without knowing the audience and objective at a minimum. Reply in the thread with the missing detail. Common gaps: no audience specified, no objective stated, no duration given. If you are unsure about duration, a default of 30 seconds is a reasonable starting point for most social formats.
The Approval Card Did Not Appear
- Check the agent's Slack channel for any clarification request posted before the card. The agent may be waiting for missing information.
- If nothing appears after 15 minutes, re-post the request with the same brief. If the issue repeats, contact support@agenteous.com.
