Troubleshooting
Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Ask PM Assistant for a Report?
You do not. It has no commands and answers no requests. The morning brief, daily budget report, Time Check for Yesterday, end-of-day wrap and Monday weekly report arrive in your operations channel on their own. Managers can see a log of most alerts on the PM Alerts page in the Operator Console.
Will Everyone See My Reminder?
No. The end-of-shift time check, the catch-up note, the weekly deadline check and the task budget alert are private. The team posts in the operations channel show each person's standing, though, so a manager can see who is short there.
Why Did I Get an End-of-Shift Message When I Was on Target?
The end-of-shift message goes to every tracked person. If you are on target, it tells you so.
I Was on Leave. Will I Be Counted as Missing Time?
No, as long as your time off is on the shared calendar PM Assistant reads. People on full-day leave are skipped and their weekly targets are pro-rated. A half day changes the wording of a catch-up note.
Does PM Assistant Log Time or Change Tasks?
No. It never logs time, edits a task or changes an estimate. It notifies, and a person acts.
A Task Went Over Budget. What Should I Do?
Open the task from the button, stop the timer and talk to your manager. The manager decides whether to re-scope, change the estimate or continue.
Why Did I Not Get a Reminder I Expected?
- You may have logged enough time.
- It may not be one of your working days, or you may be marked out of office.
- Each message has a window, and the window may have passed. The end-of-shift message stays open for six hours after shift end.
- Each message is sent once a day.
- Your record may be missing something PM Assistant needs. It covers only people marked for time tracking who have a ClickUp account, a Slack account, utilization hours and working days.
Common Issues
I Was Nudged About a Day I Was Out
- Check that your time off is on the shared calendar PM Assistant reads.
- Check that the entry covers the full day. A half day changes the message but does not skip it.
- If your leave was recorded elsewhere, ask your administrator to add it to the calendar.
Someone Is Missing from the Summaries
- Check that the person is marked for time tracking in your agency's staff records.
- Check that they have a ClickUp account, a Slack account, utilization hours and working days. A record that is missing any of these is skipped.
- If all of those are set and they are still missing, contact support@agenteous.com.
Reminders Arrive at the Wrong Time
- Reminders follow each person's region, time zone and working days. Check those on the person's record.
- The team posts use fixed times set for your agency. Ask your administrator to change them if they are wrong.
A Budget Alert Fired on a Task I Did Not Expect
- Open the task and check its estimate. The alert fires when time spent reaches the estimate, so a low estimate trips sooner.
- A task with no estimate never triggers this alert. It shows only under No Estimate in the daily budget report.
- If the task needs more time than estimated, that is the conversation the alert is meant to start.
There Was No Budget Alert for an Over-Budget Task
- The alert is sent only when a tracked person has a timer running on the task, and the task has an estimate and a status of active or revisions.
- A task over its estimate with no running timer appears only in the daily budget report.
A Report Shows Stale or Wrong Numbers
- PM Assistant reads from your project tool when it runs. Check the time entries there first.
- Time logged after a post appears in the next one, not in the message already sent.
- If the numbers still do not match, contact support@agenteous.com.
