Commands

Talk to Marketing Email in its dedicated Slack channel. Mention @Agenteous followed by your request. The agent reads your message, drafts the email, and posts the result back in the thread.

Draft a Newsletter

@Agenteous draft a newsletter on [topic] for [client or segment]

The agent writes a subject line, preheader, and full body targeting that audience. It posts the draft as an approval card with the subject, preheader, and body visible so you can review before approving.

Draft a Drip or Lifecycle Email

@Agenteous draft a drip email for [client], step [number], topic: [topic], CTA: [what you want them to do]

Drip steps open with a callback to the prior step and carry a single, named call to action. Lifecycle emails (onboarding, renewal, lapsed) name the moment in the opening line. Specify the step number and the one action you want the reader to take.

Draft a One-Off Announcement

@Agenteous draft an announcement for [client] about [what], audience: [segment]

One-off announcements lead with the news and close with a single action. Good for product launches, event invites, or time-sensitive updates.

Edit the Subject Line

@Agenteous regenerate the subject for draft [draft ID or description], try a question format

The subject and body are written independently, so you can ask for a new subject without touching the body. Give the agent a direction (shorter, a question, lead with a number) and it rewrites the subject and preheader while keeping the body intact.

Edit the Body

@Agenteous revise the body for [draft]: make the opening less formal and shorten to 100 words

You can ask for tone changes, length changes, or a different call to action. The agent rewrites the body and posts the updated draft for another round of approval.

Send Now

@Agenteous send draft [draft ID] now to [segment or recipient list]

Use this after you have approved the draft. The agent dispatches the email through your configured email connection and confirms the send.

Check Draft Status

@Agenteous what is the status of the [client] newsletter draft?

The agent reports the current state: drafting, pending compliance review, awaiting your approval, queued for send, or sent.

Approval Buttons

When Marketing Email posts a draft card, four actions appear:

  • Approve sends the draft into the send queue. If no send time has been set, it asks you when to send.
  • Edit opens the draft in the web app where you can adjust subject, preheader, and body before approving.
  • Redraft tells the agent to rewrite the body from scratch. You can add a note explaining what to change.
  • Skip sets the draft aside without rejecting it. You can return to it later.

If the compliance gate flagged the draft, you will see the specific flag before any approval buttons appear. Resolve the flag first: either ask for a redraft that addresses it, or contact your account manager if you believe the flag is incorrect.
