Getting Started

Agenteous runs as a team of AI agents inside your Slack workspace. Each agent watches its area, prepares drafts and recommendations, and asks for your approval before anything goes out. Your job is to review and decide. The agents handle the research, writing, and preparation.

How You Talk to the Agents

Everything happens through Slack. Each agent listens in its own dedicated channel. You post a message or a question, and the agent replies in that same channel. You can also @mention the Concierge from any channel and it will route your request to the right agent.

A typical interaction looks like this:

@Agenteous Draft a LinkedIn post about our client's product launch next week

The agent reads your request, prepares a draft, and posts it back as a card with action buttons. You review the draft and choose what to do next.

The Core Model: Watch, Draft, Approve

Every agent follows the same pattern:

  1. Watch. Agents monitor their assigned area continuously: inboxes, content calendars, client data, scheduled work.
  2. Draft. When something needs attention, the agent prepares a response, a piece of content, or a recommendation.
  3. Ask. The agent posts its work to your Slack channel as an approval card with action buttons.
  4. Act. Only after you approve does anything leave the system: emails send, content posts, reports go out.

Nothing reaches your clients or any external system without your explicit approval. You can approve, edit, ask for a redraft, or skip. The choice is always yours.

:::tip Approval buttons Most agent cards include Approve, Edit, Redraft, and Skip buttons. Tapping Approve sends the item as drafted. Edit opens a text field. Redraft asks the agent to try a different angle. Skip dismisses the card. :::

What to Expect on Day One

When you first start, the agents are already active. On your first day you will likely see:

  • A welcome message from the Concierge in your main agent channel, confirming the setup is complete.
  • Any pending drafts or scheduled items the agents have already prepared.
  • Proactive notifications from agents that monitor on a schedule, such as a morning briefing or a content calendar check.

You do not need to configure anything to begin. Start by reading what the agents have posted and responding to any pending approval cards.

First-Day Checklist

  • Check your agent channels in Slack and read any pending cards.
  • Respond to at least one approval card (approve, edit, or skip).
  • Ask the Concierge a question in plain language to see how routing works.
  • Review the list of agents in the sidebar to understand what each one covers.
  • Read Your First Content Piece for a step-by-step walkthrough.

Where to Get Help

If something looks off or a card is not making sense, ask the Concierge directly in Slack. For account or access issues, contact support@agenteous.com.
