Notifications
Competitor Intel is quiet. It sends no alert when a competitor does something, and moves collect in the app for you to review. Its only message is an optional weekly roll-up, and that roll-up does not post unless it has been switched on and a Slack channel has been assigned to the agent.
Replies in Slack
When: You ask @Agenteous to track a competitor or list the watchlist.
What it contains:
- For a new competitor: the name, the domain, and the move types being watched
- For the list: each competitor's name, domain, status, activity score, and priority
- A pointer to the competitors screen in the app
Action required: None.
Weekly Roll-Up
When: Every Monday at 1pm, but only when the roll-up has been switched on for your agency and a Slack channel has been assigned to Competitor Intel. As shipped it is switched off and posts nothing. Turning it on is an administrator's change, not a setting on a user screen. It posts only when there was at least one move in the last 7 days.
What it contains:
- A header, "Competitor Digest (last 7 days)"
- A count of moves and of competitors
- For each competitor, in order of how many moves it made: its name, domain, and velocity, then each move with its label and a link to the source
- The card is a summary with no approval button. When brand checking is on, the named competitors in it are pre-screened and the result is recorded for the operator
Action required: None. If a move is worth a response, open the competitor in the app and click Queue Topic.
Roll-Up Could Not Post
When: The roll-up is switched on and the post failed.
What it contains:
- The failure is reported to your Agenteous administrator's monitoring, not to you in Slack
Action required: None for most staff. If you expected the roll-up and it did not arrive, contact support@agenteous.com.
Moves in the App
When: The agent records a move for a competitor it can check.
What it contains:
- The move appears on the competitor's detail page under Recent Moves, with its label, a one-sentence summary, and a link to the source
- The competitor's velocity goes up
Action required: Review when it suits you. Click Queue Topic to send a move to the topic queue.
