Marketing Competitor Intel
Marketing Competitor Intel keeps a watchlist of the competitors each of your brands cares about. You add rivals in Slack or in the app. For rivals it can read, it records what they publish or announce, labels each item with a plain move type, and keeps a running count of how active each one has been. When a move deserves a response, you queue it as a topic for your content team.
It is an analyst. It records and labels. It never publishes, never sends a message to anyone outside your agency, and never responds to a competitor on its own.
What It Does
Watchlist. Each brand has its own list of competitors. A competitor has a name, a domain, a priority from 1 (highest) to 5, a status of Active or Paused, and the kinds of moves to watch. You can add one by asking @Agenteous in Slack, or in the app under Marketing, Visibility. You can ask for the list the same way.
Moves. A move is something a competitor published or announced. The agent checks each active competitor that has a feed address on file, reads each new item, and labels it as one of: a content publication, a launch, a rebrand, a hire, a pricing or packaging change, a partnership announcement, or other. Each move gets a one-sentence neutral summary and a link to the original. An item that was already recorded is skipped. A competitor's velocity is the number of moves recorded for it over the last 30 days.
A competitor is checked only if it has a feed address. You can give it one in Slack when you add the competitor, or later by asking for the same competitor again with the address; the app's Track and Add Competitor forms take an optional Feed Address (RSS Or Atom). A competitor without a feed address stays on the watchlist but is not checked, so no moves are recorded for it.
Changes from recon. The Moves & Recon screen also lists competitor content changes detected by the visibility recon watch, each with a summary, an urgency, a significance score out of 10, and a recommended action. You can mark a change as acknowledged.
Queue Topic. On a competitor's detail page, Queue Topic turns a recorded move into a topic in the SEO topic queue, titled with the competitor and the move. It creates a topic for your team to consider. It does not write or publish anything.

What Requires Your Attention
Competitor Intel adds, lists, and records on its own and none of that needs your sign-off. The decisions that need a person are the ones that lead to action: whether a competitor is worth watching, whether a move is worth a response, and whether the resulting topic becomes a draft. A queued topic follows your normal content review before anything goes out.
Who It's For

- Content and marketing staff: spot a move worth answering and hand it to the topic queue.
