Notifications

Proof Points sends nothing on its own. There are no scheduled summaries, no digests, and no alerts when candidates are waiting. Every message you get is the result of a command you ran, and the Needs Review count in the app is the only signal that something is waiting.

Working Message

When: You run the extraction or scrutiny command in Slack.

What it contains:

  • A private message that only you see, saying the work is in progress and the summary will land in the channel

Action required: None.

Extraction Summary

When: An extraction you started in Slack has finished.

What it contains:

  • A header, "Proof extraction", posted in the channel where you ran the command
  • The brand
  • The number of new candidates saved, marked unverified
  • The total number of candidates the source yielded, when it differs
  • A reminder to run the scrutiny command to verify and score them

Action required: Open the Proof Points screen in the app and approve or reject the new candidates in Needs Review.

Scrutiny Summary

When: A scrutiny run started in Slack has finished.

What it contains:

  • A header, "Proof scrutiny", posted in the channel where you ran the command
  • The number of points verified and the number marked as duplicates

Action required: Review the candidates in Needs Review. Scrutiny does not make any of them usable.

Library Card

When: You run the lookup command.

What it contains:

  • A header with the brand and the number of results, with the filters you used
  • Up to 15 approved points with their wording, category, verified or candidate label, confidence, a star if starred, and attribution
  • A note that more exist when there are over 15, with a suggestion to narrow the filters

Action required: None.

Scrutiny Result in the App

When: You click Run Scrutiny.

What it contains:

  • A line on the screen reporting how many points were verified, culled, and demoted as duplicates
  • Updated counts at the top

Action required: Review the survivors in Needs Review.

Failed Command

When: A Slack command could not finish, for example because no source text was given or the source could not be read.

What it contains:

  • A private message to you naming the command and the reason

Action required: Fix what the message names and run the command again. If it keeps failing, contact support@agenteous.com.
