Troubleshooting
Frequently Asked Questions
Why Am I Getting a Draft for an Email I Do Not Need to Reply To?
The assistant drafts replies for any inbound email it classifies as needing a response. If the classification is wrong, tap Skip to dismiss the draft without sending. Over time, consistent skip patterns help it adjust.
For emails that are reliably low priority from a specific sender, you can tell the assistant directly: @Agenteous emails from this sender are usually FYI, not action required.
The Draft Sounds Like It Was Written by Someone Else. What Happened?
Draft quality depends on having enough recent sent email to sample for your voice. If you have not sent much email recently, or if you are using a new connected account, the voice profile may not be calibrated yet. Edit and approve a few drafts as you normally would; each approved or edited draft improves the calibration.
If a specific draft is badly off, tap Redraft to generate a fresh one, or Edit to fix it before sending.
I Tapped Edit and Approved the Draft, but I Want to Change What Was Sent.
The assistant cannot recall an email after it has been sent. If you need to correct or follow up, compose a follow-up email directly, or ask the assistant: @Agenteous draft a follow-up to my last email to the retail client correcting the launch date.
Can I Ask the Assistant to Draft an Email That Did Not Come in Through the Inbox?
Yes. Message it directly: @Agenteous draft an email to our SaaS client about the Q3 campaign kickoff date. A draft card will appear for your review. It will not send until you approve.
I Missed My Morning Brief. Can I Get Another One?
Yes. Message the assistant: @Agenteous morning brief. It will post a fresh card pulled from the current state of your calendar, email, and open tasks.
A Decision I Logged Looks Wrong in the Record. How Do I Fix It?
Message the assistant with the correction: @Agenteous update the decision about biweekly reporting: it applies to retainer accounts only, not project accounts. The assistant will update the record.
I Promoted a Meeting Insight to LinkedIn but Nothing Appeared. What Happened?
The promotion hands the content to Marketing Social to draft a post. The approval for that post sits in Marketing Social's workflow, not here. Check your channel for a pending draft from Marketing Social.
Common Issues
Morning or EOD Brief Did Not Arrive
If a scheduled brief is missing:
- Check your channel: it may have arrived and scrolled past.
- Request it on demand:
@Agenteous morning briefor@Agenteous eod brief. - If the on-demand request also produces no response, message
@Agenteous are you there?to check that the assistant is reachable. - If there is still no response, contact support@agenteous.com.
Email Drafts Are Not Appearing
If email is arriving in your inbox but no draft cards are showing up:
- Confirm your email account is still connected in the app's Integrations settings.
- Not all incoming email produces a draft: marketing, receipts, and cold outreach are typically classified and filed without drafts. Request an inbox summary to see what arrived and how it was classified:
@Agenteous inbox summary. - If ACTION_REQUIRED emails are arriving with no drafts, contact support@agenteous.com.
Meeting Intelligence Card Did Not Appear After a Call
- Confirm the meeting was recorded and that the transcript is available in your connected transcription service. Transcripts can take several minutes to process after a call ends.
- If the transcript is available but no card appeared, share the transcript with the assistant directly:
@Agenteous meeting intel [transcript]. - If that also does not work, contact support@agenteous.com.
Buttons on a Card Are Not Responding
Slack approval buttons expire after a standard interaction window. If a card looks inactive:
- Ask the assistant to resurface it:
@Agenteous resurface the pending draft for the SaaS client email. - If buttons on new cards are also unresponsive, contact support@agenteous.com.
