Schedule

Marketing Social is a demand-driven agent. It does not run on a fixed schedule or post on its own. Every draft originates from a request: either a direct Slack mention from your team, or a bundle delivered by the Marketing Strategist as part of a campaign.

How It Gets Triggered

TriggerWhat happens
Direct Slack mention (@Agenteous)Marketing Social handles the request: generates drafts, answers a strategy question, or produces hook variants
Campaign bundle from Marketing StrategistThe Strategist delivers a social slot as part of a campaign package; Marketing Social picks it up and produces the requested drafts
Amplification tag from another agentMarketing Content, Marketing Podcast, or Marketing Designer tags Marketing Social in the delivery channel when an asset is ready to amplify; Marketing Social decides whether to draft

What It Does Autonomously

Marketing Social completes these steps without waiting for input: it loads the correct brand context, generates draft variants, runs brand-fit checks, routes to Brand Guard, and posts the approval card. The entire cycle from request to approval card happens without you needing to do anything in between.

Once you approve a draft, it is added to the publishing queue at the suggested time. The agent sequences multiple approved drafts automatically, respecting the following rules:

  • Company pages: one post per brand per day.
  • Staff personal accounts: one post per account per day, with a minimum of 36 hours between posts that share a topic across different staff accounts.
  • Cross-brand posts: no two brand pages pushing the same angle within two hours of each other.

When multiple drafts are approved at the same time and the ideal times conflict, Marketing Social sends a cadence collision notice with a proposed revised sequence.

Timing for Common Requests

RequestTypical time to approval card
Single LinkedIn post (one variant set)2 to 5 minutes
Blog adaptation (two or three angles)4 to 8 minutes
Hook variants onlyUnder 2 minutes
Campaign bundle social slot4 to 8 minutes

These are estimates. Generation time depends on the length of the source material.

Default Publishing Windows

When no post time is specified, Marketing Social suggests a time in the primary window for your audience: weekday mornings, when your target decision-makers are in their email and LinkedIn queue. A secondary window is available in the mid-afternoon. The suggestion in the approval card shows the rationale; you can override it by replying before confirming.

What It Does Not Do

Marketing Social does not monitor LinkedIn for comments or direct messages on its own, and it does not pull post performance metrics in the current version. Engagement tracking is planned for a future release. If you ask "how did last week's posts do?", it will tell you that metrics are not yet wired in.

For questions about what Marketing Social is working on right now or what drafts are pending, ask it directly in Slack.
