Action Catalog

What It's For

The Action Catalog lists the shared actions that appear as buttons in both Slack and the app, such as approving or declining a draft. Each action is declared once and behaves the same wherever its button appears, so this list tells you which actions exist and whether each one is active. It is a reference: nothing on this screen runs an action.

The Action Catalog screen with a summary line of registered actions by status, a Registered actions table, and a What this is legend explaining each status.
The Action Catalog: the shared actions behind buttons in Slack and the app.

You find it in the Operator Console under Compliance.

Registered Actions

The summary line under the title counts the registered actions and how many are live, pending, and deprecated. The table lists each action with:

  • Action ID: the action's name, written as area and verb.
  • Status: Live, Endpoint Pending, or Deprecated (see below).
  • Product: the product line the action belongs to.
  • Where: the part of the app the action appears in.
  • Type: how the action runs. A plain request method (such as POST) means it runs immediately; ASYNC actions run in the background, MODAL actions open a form first, and WIZARD actions walk through several forms, with the number of steps shown.
  • Action Route: the technical address the action calls, for reference when reporting a problem.

The shared actions cover asking the knowledge base a question, approving, declining, and editing a draft, saving a draft to your drafts folder, and dismissing or restoring a feed item.

What This Is

The legend at the bottom explains each status:

  • Live: available; the button and the action behind it both work.
  • Endpoint Pending: registered and visible, but not ready yet. Its buttons appear disabled.
  • Deprecated: still available but being phased out.

Who Uses It

  • Operations administrators: check whether a button a teammate reports as greyed out is an action that is not ready yet.
  • Compliance officers: see the full set of shared actions that can act on drafts and feed items.
