Commands
Prospector has no chat commands. You do not mention it in Slack and you do not type requests to it. You direct it entirely from the Prospecting page in the app, by giving it the company domains you want researched and then reading the results it returns.
Give It Domains to Research
The Prospecting page has an upload area. You feed Prospector the website domains of the companies you want to reach in one of two ways:
- Upload a spreadsheet with one company domain per row. You can include an optional column with the company name.
- Paste a list of domains directly into the box, a few at a time.
Click Upload Domains and Prospector begins. You do not need to do anything else; it works through the list on its own.
Watch the Queue
Once you upload domains, they appear in the Domain Queue on the same page. Each company moves through four statuses so you can see exactly where it stands:
- Pending: the company is in line and Prospector has not started on it yet.
- Processing: Prospector is actively searching public sources for that company's decision-makers.
- Done: the research is complete and contacts are ready to view.
- Failed: Prospector could not complete the research for that company (for example, the domain did not resolve or no contacts could be found). The rest of your list is unaffected.
The queue also shows a contact count per company so you can see how many decision-makers were found at a glance.
Open a Company to See Its Contacts
When a company reaches Done, click its row in the queue to open its discovered contacts. You will see a table of decision-makers, ranked, each with:
- Name and title
- Work email, with a label showing whether it was confirmed by email verification or guessed from the company's pattern
- Phone number when available
- LinkedIn profile when available
- A decision-maker flag, marking the people whose roles indicate they make decisions
- A confidence level of high, medium, or low
Use the confidence labels to decide who to prioritize. A high-confidence, verified contact is ready to act on; a low-confidence or guessed one is a lead worth confirming before you rely on it.
Read Meeting Briefs as They Appear
You do not request meeting briefs. The Prospecting page has an "Upcoming Meeting Briefs" area, and briefs appear there on their own. When a prospect Prospector is tracking has an upcoming external meeting on your calendar, a brief is prepared ahead of time and shows up in this list.
Click a brief to read it. Each one covers who the prospect is, why they fit your services, the talking points to land, discovery questions to ask, the objections you are likely to hear, and a recommended next step. The brief is ready before the meeting, so you can review it the morning of or the day before.
You do not have to keep the app open while Prospector works. Add your domains, close the tab, and come back later. The queue and the contacts will be waiting, and any meeting briefs will have appeared on their own.
