Signal Desk and Deal Desk
What It's For
The desks show which firms are heating up and which open deals and retention risks deserve attention, ranked so the strongest sit at the top. In the Operator Console, under Sales & Meetings, open Desks; two tabs run across the top, Signal Desk and Deal Desk, and both are read-only.
Agenteous collects buying signals about firms from several sources and fuses them into a single heat score per firm. The Signal Desk shows the firms that are warm or hot, so your team can see who is worth a call this week. The Deal Desk rolls up open desks in two lists: new-business opportunities and retention concerns on your existing book.
Signal Desk
The Firm Heat screen. A band across the top counts Warm + Hot, Hot and Warm firms.
Below it, Firms lists up to 100 warm or hot firms, hottest first. Each card shows:
- The firm's name and a Hot or Warm badge.
- A line reading "Heat: score · n signals across n sources".
- A short written summary of why the firm is warm, when one is available.
- View Timeline, which opens the firm's Firm Timeline: counts of Signals, Distinct Sources and Heat Events, the Signal Ledger of every signal that contributed, and the Heat Events recording each time the firm changed band.
How heat is scored:
- Each signal counts according to its type, and its weight fades as it ages, so last month's news counts for less than this week's.
- Signals from several independent sources count for more than many signals from one source.
- A burst of three or more signals from at least two sources inside two weeks adds a further boost.
- The result is a score from 0 to 100. A firm turns Warm at 45 and Hot at 70. Once hot, it stays hot until its score drops below 45, so a firm hovering near 70 does not flip back and forth.
Scores are recalculated as new signals arrive, and every ten minutes so that heat cools as signals age. Cold firms are tracked silently and do not appear here. When a firm turns hot, the rep who owns it gets a Slack direct message.
With no warm or hot firms, the screen reads No Warm or Hot Firms Yet.
Deal Desk
The Principal Roll-Up screen. A band across the top counts Total Desks, Pipeline Desks and Book Health Desks.
- Pipeline: desks for new-business opportunities. Desks appear once new-business signals have been processed for a firm.
- Book Health: retention desks for existing clients.
Each list is ranked by score. A card is titled with the firm's name and shows a stage badge (for Pipeline desks, the deal's stage name from your CRM, or Unranked until the deal's first stage change; for Book Health desks, Healthy, Watch or At Risk), its lifecycle state, a line with the deal's name when your CRM has one and the score, a short summary when one exists, and View Desk. View Desk opens Firm Desks for that firm: each open deal desk, titled with the deal's name, and a Contributions Timeline of the signals that fed it.
Who Uses It
- Agency owners and sales leads: pick the firms and opportunities to work this week.
