QuickBooks, Plaid and Stripe

QuickBooks, Plaid and Stripe feed the Finance surface, the internal finance dashboard. All three are read-only data feeds: Agenteous reads from them to show profit and loss, balances, cash flow and client revenue, and it never writes back to any of them. Agents do not use these connections, and nothing here sends or pays anything. They are set up by an authorized person from the Finance surface, not on the Connections screen. See Finance.

QuickBooks

QuickBooks Online supplies the books behind the Finance surface: profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow. An authorized person connects it from the Finance site through Intuit's own sign-in, using an Intuit app your agency registers itself. Changes in QuickBooks are copied into a local copy about every four hours. When QuickBooks is not connected, the sync does nothing.

Plaid

Plaid keeps bank balances and transactions current for the Finance surface, checking about once an hour. If a bank stops accepting the login, syncing pauses and the operator is alerted to reconnect on the Finance surface. Bank exports can also be uploaded by hand; the account is matched by the file name or the last four digits.

Stripe

Stripe supplies payout detail. A single deposit from the processor can combine several clients' payments, and the Stripe feed lets the Finance surface split a deposit into the clients inside it. It reads payouts and balance transactions with a read-only key, about every four hours, and does nothing when no key is set.

How to Tell It Is Connected

If a feed on the Finance surface looks stale, or a bank connection asks you to reconnect, contact support@agenteous.com or your administrator.
